Loosing-A longer but stronger way towards success

Loosing-A longer but stronger way towards success

Nothing in this world that’s worth having comes easy.

Yes, I have lost. But it does not take courage to say so, but a realization that there is something I still need to improve upon, spheres that I lack in and there is no shame in accepting the same.  You guys must be wondering what failure is she talking about? That failure is, not getting recommended by SSB (Service Selection Board) in my second attempt too. And again being tagged as a repeater (why again? Because this was my second attempt) and again conference out. But what’s a big deal in it? Big deal is that this tag haunts you in your next attempts too. All those question- why you didn’t make it the last time? What have you improved upon this time? And you have no clue at all why the rejected you the last time. Until and unless you have done a mind shattering brain storming about yourself. They ask you –DO YOU HAVE IT IN YOU? And you answer with full zeal YES! Whereas you also don’t know what is that it?
That brain storming can only be done when you are out of the nightmares about SSB. The great thing is fresher’s still come to you to take your gyan(knowledge ‘why I am explain its meaning? hoping someday a foreigner might read my blog’) on SSB selection technique, although one has the tag of repeater(failed SSB herself, note down the sarcasm) . But that is the beauty of it. Knowing and learning what mistakes they have committed, and it really helps too. Only if the other one knows what went wrong last time. Or else you might be just playing with the chest numbers, stage one I had 81 now 18, in second attempt stage one I had 101 and now 11, you see "shagun" , but it still dosen't work that way. That is the most important point I am coming onto here- Learning form one’s failure. Thinking later on why didn’t I mention my that quality to him in interview, I wish I had said more , I wish I had studied the basic subjects. One should note down what went wrong then work on it.
After I came back from my first SSB , my dad called me and asked(‘kesa lag raha hai? Jese dharti fat gyi ho?, hota hai hota hai’) . The very next time , when he was expecting it so much and the you feel you have to get selected from the same center that not recommended him, and write that on ur palm everyday “18SSB” but still you don’t make it. And this time he is really hurt from his heart and says(kya yar Asha tune mujhe char bar fail kr dia, do bar mai reject hua , do bar tu ho gyi, ab aisa lgra hai mai char bar reject hogya’ ) that moment you feel your eyes welling up with tears , but you can’t show it to him at that moment because he is more sad than you are , but then being a dad he covers up and comes up with(‘chal koi na beta, gir pd ke hi majbut hote hai. Fail ni hoge toh us cheej ki value nip ta chlegi, mai to haj bhi sochta hu shayd third time chala jata toh pakka select ho jata, but aap kro mehnat and dekhte ahi kbtk ni krte select’) those words of him gave me the strength to stand up again. I would like to quote him in a different manner again- Until you fall and get hurt, you don’t become strong, same as you fall in love it makes you strong, you fall learning cycling you become strong and my father has always taught me to be strong.
So, finally what we do ? we give the example of most prominent person here, that is martyr Captain Vikram Batra, who got recommended in his 14th attempt(also known as repeaters ka bhagvan). You know one more feeling that hurts the most is , all of your group members and even the whole batch is sure that the one person who is surely going to be recommended is you. You reach on that seventh heaven, but there comes the mind of the predators, those three person who do not have any coincidence with the batch’s view at all. And then you finally get a shock of not getting selected again.
But as SSB itself says think positive, I also think that one day all those people’s wish would come true, their blessings that you gained over those five days will all make your way towards success, you will become so much more competent and good that one would not get any obstacle at all to face, it might be directly to merit list(because is better not getting recommended than not making it to the merit list, you get a chance to improve and put in more efforts)  in both the cases you have to repeat the whole procedure . So keep on doing good, “Neki kar dariya me dal”. I hope all these failures are preparing me for a better tomorrow, as the say – A soldier never stops fighting, and a leader never steps back. I am going to do the same “FIGHT TILL I ACHIEVE”

  7. I am very happy that you particularly understand and shown your valiant conduct. Very frankly speaking if you don't understand the real meaning of failure and enen though you succeed it will lead you to a deep pit of failure again.I heard many people saying failure is the key to success and I agree too, what contradict is that their failing commitment and eventually we cannot judge any person by his commitment and thats true to every mankind, love every particular thing of your life even your failure, accept it with truth and take a resolution not to fail again as failure is just a part of life which never enduar for long...best of luck for your future.

  9. I could feel every line u have written... Tag of repeater hurts but yes it also gives us the strength to work harder infact the best so that the tag is removed. We have to make our parents proud. Let's work for it and never step back. Let's fight till we achieve it. All the best to you. We will succeed.
